Career Transition Program

Career Transition Services (federally funded through the Workforce Investment Act) are designed to provide quality employment and training services to eligible individuals to assist them in finding meaningful employment and to help employers find the skilled workers they need to compete and succeed in business.Older_Students.jpg

Services include:

  • Individualized career counseling
  • Compehensive career and educational assessments
  • Access to onsite educational remediation
  • Occupational training to compete in today's job market
  • Post-training employment counseling



Who Qualifies for Career Transition Services?


Applicants MUST meet each of the following criteria:

  • Larimer County resident or have a job layoff occurring within Larimer County
  • Unemployed
  • Possesses a high school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrate 9th grade reading level and 6th grade math level through local, onsite assessment OR possess a minimum of 60 post-secondary education credits

In accordance with the Jobs for Veterans Act (Public Law 107-288), Larimer County Workforce Center provides veterans priority for the receipt of employment, training and placement services that are directly funded by the Department of Labor.

An essential element of career and education planning includes an assessment of your interests.  Career Transition Services recommends the following no-cost assessments to support your participation.  Please complete a minimum of one of the assessments listed below prior to attending your first scheduled appointment.  Please bring the results of this assessment to your first meeting.

The Career Transition Service provides interested applicants an opportunity to learn about our services and eligibility through mandatory information sessions.  You are not required to register in advance but please arrive to the information session of your choice on time to determine if services may be right for you.
